On March 10th the Illinois General Assembly Health and Human Services Committee passed HB 2354, the Illinois Version of FOCA. Now the bill will go before the entire Illinois House. We must mobilize NOW to call the Illinois Legislature and ask them to oppose HB 2354. This bill has been dubbed the “Illinois FOCA” as it will remove what few restrictions on abortion we still have in Illinois.

We must create a largescale grassroots response to this bill! If we move quickly and mobilize everyone, we can stop this horrible bill in it’s tracks!

Effects of HB 2354
1. Effectively disallow any regulation of abortion procedures or emergency contraceptives in Illinois.
2. Potentially require public funding of these same abortion procedures and emergency contraceptive services
3. Enact broad immunity protections for those involved in abortion procedures
4. Mandate “comprehensive” sex education for every public school in the state
5. Undermine the rights of conscience for health care professionals who refuse to participate in abortion or contraception.

I was born and raised, spent 41 years in Illinois, and not far from Chicago. I am 58 and as far back as I can remember and before me, no one thought their words would be heard because of the Chicago machine. It’s still alive and well much to the detriment of Illinois. Back and I mean WAY back, we always wished that Chicago would be turned into a separate entity such as Washington, D.C. Chicago wins and the rest of Illinois suffers. I worked in Springfield while Dick Durbin was a senator clear back in the late 1970′s. He was wrong for Illinois then and he is still wrong for Illinois. Illinois is a great state! But Chicago politics bring everyone down to a level only a garden slug lives.
I think this bill is atrocious. Please do not vote for FOCA.

Ending life/ Killing is done in many forms but the end result is the same death,used are weapons of mass destruction, chemical in chambers, contraceptive pills in mass production most convenient and cleanest way just flush the toilet in your own privacy its done and cancealed, we flood the streets w/ automatic weapons ,guns, knife ,stones , suicide use multiple sharp objects but the end result is the same it causes death,INstead of good expanded drug rehab program we spent too much money in planned parenthood projects{to kill babies} and in ER for those drunks ,drug addicts and homeless. Wake up America killing is killing in the end JUSTICE will be served the arrogant politician/lawmakers will not have a final word.lets have courage to fight for a good cause.persever to work for pro life .
