Students for Life of America and the Stop the Abortion Mandate Coalition are looking for people who would like to be a part of a national viral video. The goal of the video is to raise awareness and get people to take action against the greatest threat to unborn human life since the Roe v. Wade: national health care.
VIDEO CONCEPT
The video will creatively represent the unprecedented coalition that is coming together to protect and preserve the sanctity of life. However, we do want to creatively represent the amazing number of organizations and people that are coming together against the abortion mandate in nationalized health care. We will be building a mosaic of hundreds of faces from all of your video submissions. Please take a little time to record a video using a webcam and help make this video into a powerful tool to keep abortion out of health care!
PLEASE NOTE: We may not be able to use all the submissions. You must be at least 18 to submit a video. By submitting a video, you are giving us the rights to use your video for our purposes as described in this email.
THE SCRIPT
A wide range of pro-life and pro-family organization leaders (Focus on the Family, SFLA, Americans United for Life, Susan B. Anthony List, Democrats for Life, 40 Days for Life, Family Research Council, Christian Medical Association, etc) will each read one of the following lines.
- There is an alarming bill making its way through Congress right now.
- This bill would be the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.
- It will force all taxpayers to pay for abortions on demand in both public and private health insurance plans.
- Some Congressmen will say that this isn’t true but without an explicit exclusion of abortion in any healthcare reform bill, abortion will be included.
- For our President and Congress both view abortion just like any other medical surgery.
- What we are talking about is life and death and taxpayer funded killing.
- Do you want your tax dollars to be used to fund abortion on demand?
- Time is urgently running out for us to fight this bill.
- The stakes couldn’t be higher.
- If we fail, abortions will dramatically increase, killing and harming millions more.
- We must stop Congress and President Obama from passing any healthcare reform bill which covers taxpayer funded abortions.
- For us this isn’t just a political fight. This isn’t a fight over a growing national deficit.
- This is a fight for life. This is a fight for millions of unborn Americans.

Recording tips
- Setup in a well lit room.
- Try to avoid wearing bright colored clothes or busy patterns.
- Put the camera at eye level and position yourself so that your face fills most of the screen.
- Start the recording by staring at the camera for about 10 seconds with a fairly “neutral” expression-neither happy nor sad or angry- on your face. You can move your eyes or head a little bit.
- Feel free to speak with passion-but speak clearly and distinctly and at a moderate speed.
- Leave an extra 5 seconds after you finish the last line.

Stop and think: as more people are thrown out of jobs (from the recession that started December 2007 under Bush) they will lose health care access and face financial distress. More babies will be aborted if financially distressed families cannot afford pre-natal care and delivery costs.
Universal access to health care will decrease the demand for abortion,
The health care reform bill actually has no provisions for using taxpayer money for abortions.
If you care about the sanctity of life, you will support health care for all.
